TOWARDS a Sixth Sense...and Beyond?!?!
Expanded perception, mindfulness, the sixth sense...is this the forefront of our next stage of evolution?
Twenty years ago, you may have been able to find yoga class or two, maybe a meditation class, but rarely articles on mindfulness. Now, it is mainstream. Titles like 'Mindfulness' appear on magazine covers such as TIME, yoga classes are at the gym, and conversations such as the healing properties of essential oils can be overheard at Starbucks. A Congressman from Ohio, Representative Tim Ryan, has even written a book on mindfulness: A Mindful Nation.
"We're moving from the Age of Information to the Age of Intuition", says Penney Peirce, author of over 10 books on subject of Intuition, Dreams, Energy/Consciousness, Perception, Awareness.
INTO THE AGE OF INTUITION Intuition is not a new subject, but the increase in articles, awareness, and emphasis is. Subjects such as intuition, empathic understanding, expanded perception, and higher awareness are more frequent.
In 2017, Forbes published an article on intuition called "Intuition Is The Highest Form Of Intelligence".
In 2018, TIME Magazine reveals the U.S. military's study of the 'sixth sense'
Intuition and experience of senses beyond the five are not only making its way into mainstream, but have been a topic of research in both the CIA and the U.S. military for years.
THE CIA
The CIA has studied such phenomena for years. Russia has, too. And China.
Stargate Project, for example, which has been known for testing psychic abilities and extrasensory perception. Psychics such as Ingo Swann and others were studied in controlled settings at SRI in the 70s, Controlled Remote Viewing experiments.
The CIA recently released formerly classified documents from these studies.
Perhaps the most comprehensive resource of these 90,000+ documents and studies on remote viewing can be found here: REMOTEVIEWED.COM by Daz Smith.
THE U.S. MILITARY
TIME Magazine reveals the U.S. military's study of the 'sixth sense': 'The U.S. Military Believes People Have a Sixth Sense'.
"In 2014, the Office of Naval Research embarked on a four-year, $3.85 million research program to explore the phenomena it calls premonitionand intuition, or “Spidey sense,” for sailors and Marines.
"If it saved lives, it was real. Since 1972, CIA and DoD research indicates that premonition, or precognition, appears to be weak in some, strong in others, and extraordinary in a rare few."
Research shows that we only use a portion of our brain. It's no wonder this is an expanding field.
SCIENCE and Near Death Experience (NDE) Research
Science is on its way to understand and explain what happens in the 'other' worldly realm, such as those who have had a Near Death Experience.
Dr. Raymond Moody has studied this topic since the 70s and has interviewed hundreds of survivors of NDEs. There seems to be a universal message. We can all benefit learning from them.
From 'Lessons from Heaven in an Interview with Cherie Aimee':
"Communication and understanding my surroundings all stemmed from the process of feeling into everything I experienced. Verbal communication did not exist — only telepathy. These senses gave me more data about life than the physical realm."
We could all appreciate Life from those who have experienced Death. They can provide a new lens to view life here from their experience of the Hereafter.
SCIENCE and Mindfulness
Scientific research has also shown the helpful benefits of meditation as well. The David Lynch Foundation has placed their Quiet Time program into schools in America and worldwide.
"It does not involve any religion, philosophy, or change in lifestyle. Over 340 published scientific studies document its effectiveness for improving health and learning."
Their programs benefit children, veterans, prisons, abused and/or trafficked girls and women.
IN CONCLUSION
"Although we live in a technological age that generally prizes logic and disparages intuition, there is still a part of you that is intimately connected to the invisible world of energy that is around you." -Denise Linn, from Energy Strands
For those who experience intuitive or life beyond the five senses 'phenomena', it tends to be everyday reality. It may not fit the logical world of reason and linear thought; however, you don't need further explanation when you see things that come true or sense things beyond the five senses. You learn to trust it.
